Nitronic 60 the all-purpose alloy that is fully austenitic and was designed as the temperature alloy and it subsequently is having very good temperature properties for the temperature to 1800 deg F. The resistance to oxidation of this material is same as that of 309SS. It is well known for its galling/wear resistant. The addition of molybdenum/silicon has provided it the medium for inhibiting wearing/fretting/galling in the annealed conditions.
